Folks, if you’ve been wondering where Kenny Omega, AEW’s star high-flyer, has vanished to, well, he’s been wrestling with something a bit tougher than his usual opponents: diverticulitis. After a harrowing few months that nearly knocked him out for good, Omega has been riding the bench, healing up and sharing updates from the world of his living room via Twitch streams.

On his latest stream, Omega opened up about his roller-coaster recovery. Some days are knockouts, and others are more like being pinned to the mat. Thanks to a new lineup of supplements from LifeMed Clinic in Baltimore, Maryland, he’s seen some improvements—less inflammation, easier meals, and more hydration without the grimace.

But don’t roll out the welcome mat just yet. Omega’s still on the fence about surgery, and his comeback is as uncertain as a referee’s count. “With these supplements, a lot of my inflammation has gone down,” Omega shared. “I’m able to eat properly and drink more fluids without feeling discomfort. But let me tell you, the first time someone hits me with a double foot stomp, even if it’s Marko Stunt or Riho, I might just pop like a balloon at a birthday party.”

And it’s not just the ring action that’s got him worried. Even his cat Dobby, a hefty 21-pound feline, could be a threat to his belly. “As good as I feel right now in my day-to-day and training, once impact starts to get involved or you have to use your core to do heavy lifts, that’s when things start to get dangerous,” Omega cautioned.

So, while Kenny Omega’s spirit is up and he’s twitching away happily, his return to the ring hangs in the balance like a high-wire act. He’s got a tough decision ahead, and whether or not he’ll need surgery is still up in the air. In the meantime, he’s taking it one day, one supplement, and maybe one gentle cat pat at a time.
