Folks, get ready for this, because the CW premiere of WWE NXT brought more surprises than your grandma’s secret casserole recipe. The legendary Shawn Michaels himself kicked off the show with not one, but two brand new NXT title belts, and let me tell you, these belts are shinier than a politician’s promises!

As part of NXT’s makeover edition, the logo got a stylish update, ditching the white and gold for a slick silver and black look—because why not go for a darker, moodier vibe, right? But Michaels wasn’t done dazzling the Chicago crowd. In his usual charismatic fashion, he whipped off a black sheet like a magician revealing his latest trick, showcasing the redesigned NXT and NXT Women’s Championships. The old giant “X” on the center plate? Gone! In its place, a sleek “NXT” shines proudly, reminding us all that this is no longer your grandpa’s NXT. “New network, new titles,” Shawn declared, clearly loving every minute.

Now, Roxanne Perez was already holding the newly minted NXT Women’s Championship, fresh off her hard-fought victory over Giulia earlier in the night, while Ethan Page strutted around as the NXT Champion. But the real drama? Page still had to defend his title against Trick Williams later in the night, with CM Punk—yes, that CM Punk—serving as the special guest referee. You know, because this show needed a little more unpredictability.

But before Michaels could get too deep into his monologue, his ol’ buddy, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, jumped in like he was tag-teaming the nostalgia. Triple H, in classic DX style, blurted out the iconic question: “Are you ready?” Of course, because what’s a DX reunion without the most important question in wrestling?

The two legends hyped up the crowd even more, finishing with a unison “Are you ready?” while the cheers from the Allstate Arena shook the very foundation of Chicago. You could practically feel the nostalgia radiating through the screen!
