Folks, buckle up, because the go-home episode of WWE SmackDown before Bad Blood is shaping up to be bigger than a 4th of July BBQ. And let me tell you, we’ve got some big league news—AJ Styles is coming back! Yes, after three months off the air, the Phenomenal One is lacing up his boots again, probably thinking, “If this house is gonna stand tall, it needs its builder!”

Picture this: Friday night, we were treated to a glorious, epic video package. AJ Styles, in his signature black attire, looking like a cross between a ninja and a rockstar, strolled through guerilla like he’s about to lay the foundation for something huge. Clips of his most mind-blowing, high-flying moments flash on screen. And then, the line that gives goosebumps to the whole WWE Universe—”This is still the house that AJ Styles built.” Folks, if that didn’t get you pumped, check your pulse.

AJ Styles’ Return: What We Know (Hint: Not Much)

As of right now, we don’t have a crystal-clear roadmap on what Styles is up to after his return. Will he be hunting gold? Seeking revenge? Or just reminding everyone that he’s the man who built this franchise? Well, your guess is as good as mine.

But, here’s what we do know—his last televised WWE match? Not exactly a career highlight. Back in September at Clash at the Castle 2024, Styles, bless his heart, got so frustrated with Cody Rhodes that he yelled, “I quit!” (I mean, we’ve all been there, right? Some meetings just make you want to shout those words). That little outburst cost him a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship, and he’s been off TV ever since. Ouch.

The Georgia Connection

Now, the Phenomenal One hails from the great state of Georgia, and with Bad Blood taking place in Atlanta the very day after his SmackDown return, there’s a strong chance we’ll see him at the event. Whether he’s slinging out Phenomenal Forearms or just giving the local crowd a home-state pep talk, AJ’s presence is going to be phenomenal in every sense of the word.

Outside of WWE, Styles hasn’t been resting on his laurels. He went overseas and picked up a sweet victory at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Destination 2024 PPV in July, beating Naomichi Marufuji. But folks, he hasn’t been seen in the ring since August, so you know the man’s itching to make his WWE return.

So, What’s Next for AJ?

Here’s the million-dollar question, folks—what’s the plan for AJ Styles? Could he be looking for revenge on Cody Rhodes? Or maybe he’s eyeing some shiny WWE gold? Whatever happens, one thing’s for sure: SmackDown is about to get a whole lot more “phenomenal.” Stay tuned, because October 4 is going to be can’t-miss TV.
