In a move no one saw coming, WWE has officially signed former manager Armando Alejandro Estrada to a Legends Contract. Yes, folks, the man who once introduced us to the unstoppable force that was Umaga is back! According to PWInsider, Estrada now joins the elite group of Legends who still get that sweet merch money and the occasional video game appearance—even if they haven’t been in the ring in years.

Estrada’s career kicked off in WWE’s old developmental system, OVW, back in 2004, where he dabbled in tag team matches and doubled as a bodyguard/manager combo—because when you’re Armando Alejandro Estrada, you wear many hats. But it wasn’t until he teamed up with the late Umaga in 2006 that the world really took notice. With Estrada pulling the strings, Umaga bulldozed his way to an Intercontinental Championship win and left a trail of devastation in his wake.

After that, Estrada traded managing for authority and became the general manager of WWE’s rebooted ECW. Let’s just say, he had the suit, the swagger, and the right amount of drama to rule the land of extreme—until WWE decided to write him off in 2008. But like any good wrestling character, he didn’t stay gone for long.

In 2010, WWE decided to give Estrada another go, placing him in a storyline with Tyson Kidd, who was desperately searching for the perfect manager. The interaction was brief, but Estrada’s charisma made sure it was memorable. However, his run with WWE ended again in 2012, with his final in-ring match happening in 2013.

But wait—Estrada wasn’t done managing yet! In 2019, he reappeared to manage Umaga’s nephew, the “Samoan Werewolf” and future Bloodline member, Jacob Fatu. Clearly, when it comes to managing Samoan wrecking machines, Estrada’s got the magic touch.

Now, Estrada joins other recent Legends signees like Jacqueline and Victoria—proof that if you’ve got a loud enough catchphrase and a snazzy suit, WWE will always find a way to call you back home.
