The Young Bucks pulled off a win that was equal parts strategy, skill, and a little bit of good old-fashioned luck at AEW All Out, retaining their AEW Tag Team Titles in a thrilling clash against the Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. BCC may have come in with dreams of adding tag gold to their Trios Championships, but it was the Bucks who had the last laugh.

The action kicked off with a fierce back-and-forth, as Castagnoli and Yuta worked overtime to split the Bucks—almost literally, with Yuta trying to tear Nick Jackson in half and Nick retaliating by nearly breaking his own foot in frustration on the barricade. (Nothing like a little self-destruction in the heat of competition, am I right?)

Just when it looked like the Bucks might regain control, Claudio Castagnoli came storming in with the hot tag, serving up uppercuts like he was giving out free samples. He even managed to break the barricade after launching Matt Jackson halfway across the arena. But confidence, folks, it’s a tricky thing—Claudio got a bit too cocky, missed an uppercut, and found himself sitting in the front row. Meanwhile, Yuta was left playing the world’s most stressful game of “hold on until help arrives.”

Yuta managed to survive long enough for Castagnoli to re-enter the fray, and the challengers nearly secured the win when Matt Jackson got caught in Claudio’s infamous giant swing. However, the Bucks’ elite resilience (and a fair share of high-flying magic) turned the tide yet again.

The match reached its climax when Castagnoli delivered a top-rope superplex, setting Yuta up perfectly for the Fastball Special. But Matt Jackson, always a step ahead, got the knees up just in time to counter. With Nick holding Castagnoli back in the corner, Matt capitalized on the moment, rolling up Yuta for the 1-2-3, securing the victory and retaining the titles.

The Bucks may be smug, but they sure know how to win when it counts.
