WWE Hall of Famer and two-time Women’s Champion Jacqueline (Jacqueline Moore) has officially signed a WWE Legends contract, making her the first African-American woman to achieve this milestone. Jacqueline, who broke barriers in 2016 as the first African-American female inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, is once again making history by securing this prestigious deal, which ensures she’ll continue to earn through merchandise sales, video game appearances, and more.
The news of her signing was shared by her close friend, Hope Cousin, through Double Take Sports last Friday, cementing her legacy not just as an in-ring competitor but as a trailblazer in wrestling.
A Career of Firsts
Jacqueline’s wrestling journey began in 1988, and she quickly became a fixture in promotions like WCW, WWE, and TNA. Known for breaking down gender barriers, she not only dominated the Women’s Division but also became one of the few women to hold the Cruiserweight Championship, emphasizing intergender competition long before it became a trend. Her work as a manager and road agent further showcased her versatility in the industry.
Legendary Status
Since her 2016 WWE Hall of Fame induction, Jacqueline has made a handful of special appearances, most notably at the 25th anniversary of WWE Raw in 2018, as well as entering the 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble. More recently, she appeared alongside Diamond Dallas Page and Kevin Nash in WWE’s Legends Suite at this year’s SummerSlam, cementing her legendary status outside the ring as well.
With her Legends contract now in place, fans can expect to see Jacqueline continue to shine as a WWE ambassador and pioneer for women in wrestling.
