Sunday’s All In 2024 was nothing short of legendary, folks, and it seems like everyone’s still buzzing from the high-flying chaos that was the four-way ladder match for the AEW World Trios Championship. When the dust settled, PAC and the Blackpool Combat Club emerged victorious, giving the Newcastle native his long-awaited “Wembley Moment.” But here’s the kicker: that moment was in the cards all along, no matter who PAC teamed with!

According to our old friend Dave Meltzer on “Wrestling Observer Radio,” the original plan was to have PAC team up with his Death Triangle brothers, Penta El Cero Miedo and Rey Fenix, to secure the win. That would’ve been quite the spectacle, but with Penta and Fenix seemingly eyeing a jump to WWE, plans had to shift faster than a luchador off the top rope.

Despite the reshuffling, PAC’s moment of glory was never in doubt. The former International Champion’s hand was still raised in triumph, this time with the Blackpool Combat Club, celebrating alongside Bryan Danielson after Danielson clinched the AEW World Title in the main event. “He has been sort of unofficially added to The Blackpool Combat Club,” revealed Meltzer’s tag team partner in dirt sheet drama, Bryan Alvarez. Seems like PAC’s move to the BCC was a no-brainer after all, folks!

PAC’s summer wasn’t just about trios titles, though. He earned a shot at the International Championship earlier this year, but thanks to the ongoing feud between MJF and Will Ospreay, PAC’s title opportunity got sidelined like a mid-carder on a bad day. With Ospreay reclaiming the International Title from MJF at All In, it’s looking more and more like PAC might be the next challenger, which could set the stage for yet another barnburner of a match.

For those keeping score at home, this marks PAC’s second reign as an AEW Trios Champion, having previously held the gold with his Death Triangle pals. The man from Newcastle has been with AEW since day one, showing up at the very first rally in Jacksonville, FL, back in 2019. And now, with his Wembley Moment finally secured, PAC’s star is shining brighter than ever – even if it took a little extra maneuvering to make it happen.
