In a move that’s shaking the WWE Universe more than a surprise Royal Rumble entry, Bobby Lashley and MVP have officially taken their seats in the alumni section of WWE’s website. That’s right, folks—two more superstars are trading in their WWE contracts for a shiny new status as free agents.

The departures of Lashley and MVP have been rumored for a while, but now that their profiles have been shifted to the alumni section, it’s as official as a Vince McMahon power walk to the ring. Their contracts were set to expire this summer, and while there were whispers of new deals being offered—particularly to Lashley—the outcome seems clear: they’re moving on. Whether it was WWE not offering new deals or Lashley doing a heel turn on the contract itself, we might never know.

Bobby Lashley, known for his Herculean physique and, more recently, his alliance with The Street Profits as part of “The Pride,” hasn’t been a frequent flyer in the WWE ring since May 2024. His last match saw him battling Santos Escobar in France—because nothing says “goodbye” like an international showdown. But since his injury in 2023, Lashley’s appearances have been about as rare as a clean finish in a main event.

As for MVP, the former mouthpiece of the Hurt Business has been playing manager full-time since 2022. His last WWE hurrah was guiding Omos to the ring for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal just before WrestleMania 40. But don’t think MVP is hanging up his boots just yet. He recently popped up at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XI event, hinting that he’s itching for a scrap with the former UFC Heavyweight Champion himself. Seems like the man who made “Ballin’” a catchphrase is ready to get back in the ring and mix it up.

With these departures, WWE’s roster continues to evolve, and the free agency pool just got a whole lot more interesting. The only question left is, where will Lashley and MVP show up next? Stay tuned, because wherever they land, it’s sure to be must-see TV.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
