Hold onto your luchador masks, wrestling fans, because AEW’s Mercedes Mone is stirring up the pot again! After making waves from “AEW Dynamite” to Fenway Park, and even courtside at the Boston Celtics’ NBA Championship win, the TBS Champion is now hinting at another exciting venture – this time to Arena Mexico.

On the latest episode of “CMLL Informa,” Mone surprised everyone with a pre-recorded message, later shared by CMLL on X. She wished her upcoming Forbidden Door opponent, Stephanie Vaquer, good luck for her New Japan Strong Women’s Championship defense against former WWE star La Catalina. With a sly grin, Mone declared she’d be “watching that match closer than you think,” and promised to take the championship from whoever held it at Forbidden Door.

Mone’s comments have ignited speculation that she might make an appearance in Arena Mexico for the Vaquer vs. Catalina showdown. If so, she’d better hurry, as there are only a few tickets left for Friday’s event. This star-studded show, part of the Mexico edition of FantasticaMania, also celebrates the 20th Anniversary of top star Mistico, who faces Hiromu Takahashi in the main event.

Regardless of whether Mone shows up in person, the heat between her and Vaquer is undeniable. Their upcoming title-for-title match at Forbidden Door will be their first clash in over a year. They last faced off in the tournament to crown the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, where Mone bested Vaquer in a spirited bout before losing to Willow Nightingale in the finals.

One thing’s for sure – with Mone watching closely, Vaquer’s title defense just got a whole lot more intense!
