In the latest twist from the rollercoaster life of Marty Jannetty, the former WWE star has announced his divorce just one month after tying the knot. Known for living a life that could fill the pages of a dozen biographies, Jannetty is now stepping into a new chapter—albeit a bit sooner than expected.

Jannetty took to Facebook to share the news, posting: “It musta been love, but its over now..divorce on the way. Got backstabbed by 2 of my best friends..one of them lives here. Not much longer though. PS- it hurts a lil bit but I’m use to hurting with the ladies…no problem, there’s another one waiting everywhere. It just sux I trusted her…it’s ok, life goes on.”

This abrupt end follows his marriage to Addie Jannetty (née Galapon) in May, marking his second trip down the aisle. His first marriage to Jessica Barnes lasted from 2010 to 2014. Despite the short-lived nature of this union, Jannetty appears ready to move on, albeit with a bruised heart and a sense of betrayal.

Jannetty’s wrestling legacy is forever linked with “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. The duo formed the iconic tag team “The Rockers,” only for Jannetty’s turbulent lifestyle to eventually split them apart. Over the years, Jannetty has made several returns to WWE, often in connection to Michaels, including a memorable lead-up to Michaels’s match against Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 21.

Most recently, Jannetty’s life was chronicled in the Vice series “Dark Side of The Ring,” which delved into his struggles with substance abuse and his controversial social media activity. The episode, which included a bizarre incident where he seemingly admitted to murder before quickly recanting, was described by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T as “a cautionary tale” for any wrestlers considering a similar path.
