Ladies and gents, buckle up because WWE might have just spilled the beans on the outcome of Clash At The Castle 2024! In a classic case of “whoops, did we just do that?”, an ad has surfaced suggesting that Damien Priest will retain his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre. This little slip-up comes courtesy of Madison Square Garden’s Twitter feed, hyping a June 28 SmackDown showdown between Priest and “Main Event” Jey Uso.

The Spoiler That Shook the Castle

Picture this: Damien Priest, the reigning champ, goes head-to-head with Drew McIntyre in Scotland on June 15. Fast forward to an ad for a June 28 SmackDown episode, and what do we see? Damien Priest vs. Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship. Uh-oh! Someone left out the “card subject to change” disclaimer, and now fans are connecting the dots faster than you can say “pipe bomb.”

Drew McIntyre’s UK Woes Continue?

If the ad is to be believed, this could mean another heartbreak for Drew McIntyre in his home turf. Remember 2022’s Clash At The Castle in Cardiff, Wales? McIntyre went toe-to-toe with Roman Reigns and ended up consoling himself with a sing-along with Tyson Fury. Now, facing another potential loss, McIntyre might want to prep his karaoke setlist again.

No Changes Allowed?

The omission of “card subject to change” is the real kicker here. Normally, WWE covers its bases with this fine print, but not this time. Even Ticketmaster’s event listing is playing coy, simply advertising “WWE” without spilling the beans on who’s wrestling. Talk about a spoiler alert!

McIntyre just inked a new deal, locking him in with WWE for three more years. One can only hope they have some big plans to make up for what might be another disappointing night for Scotland’s favorite son.
