In the latest episode of “As the WWE Turns,” a saga filled with more twists than a high-flying Lucha Libre match, it’s been officially declared that Roman Reigns, The Tribal Chief himself, will take up the pen (or maybe the keyboard?) to induct Paul Heyman, aka “The Wise Man,” into the WWE Hall of Fame. This news was dropped in a backstage segment on “WWE Raw,” giving gossip mills and wrestling forums new fodder to chew on.

As Reigns and Heyman were spotted making a beeline out of “Raw,” none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, with his eyebrow possibly arched in curiosity, couldn’t help but inquire about their hasty exit. Reigns, ever the man of few words but profound action, revealed he was off to “write the speech” for Heyman’s Hall of Fame induction. Yes, folks, you heard it right – it’s storytelling time in the Reigns household tonight!

Heyman, a man whose career in wrestling could fill novels thicker than the WWE rulebook (which is more like guidelines, really), has been the linchpin of Reigns and The Bloodline’s strategies as their Special Council since the balmy summer of 2020. His upcoming induction into the 2024 Hall of Fame class is nothing short of a hometown hero’s welcome, considering his deep ties to Philadelphia, thanks to his ECW days when he was more “Extreme” than a double shot of espresso.

The wrestling world had been abuzz with speculation on who would have the honor of inducting Heyman. Names floated around like confetti at a victory parade – from ECW legends like Tommy Dreamer to WWE stalwarts like CM Punk. But alas, Brock Lesnar, the once-possible candidate, is now as likely to induct Heyman as The Rock is to quit the gym.

Reigns, who recently shared his thoughts on Heyman’s induction on “The Pat McAfee Show,” will now add “speechwriter” to his impressive resume. One can only imagine the intensity of a Reigns-penned tribute. Will he channel his inner Shakespeare, or keep it as sharp and to the point as a Superman Punch?

As Heyman prepares to step into the hallowed halls of the WWE Hall of Fame, one thing’s for certain – with Reigns by his side, it’s bound to be as memorable as Heyman’s legendary ponytail. Stay tuned, folks. In the world of WWE, the drama never ends; it just takes a commercial break.
