Well, folks, WWE Crown Jewel is back, and the glitz and glam are nearly blinding. Once again, our friends in Riyadh will witness wrestling royalty and—let’s face it—some highly questionable character choices, vying for gold and, well, glory? After all, what’s a trip to Saudi Arabia without bringing some serious drama, right?
This year, WWE’s managed to stack the card with seven matches, probably because their idea of “subtle” is sending Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed to “settle” their feud without breaking the ring. And no, no titles on the line here, because this showdown is all about pride, and maybe how many Tsunamis Reed can dish out before Rollins throws him off the Arabian Peninsula.
Then we’ve got Kevin Owens, who apparently woke up, took a look at his “Friendship Roster” and decided it needed a little pruning, especially where Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes were concerned. After KO’s dramatic WWE Bad Blood betrayal, he’s now set to face “The Viper” himself, Randy Orton, in a no-holds-barred bout of “Hey, I’m the only one allowed to mess with my friends!”
And if you’re wondering what Roman Reigns is up to—you guessed it! Bloodline drama! This time, Reigns, Jimmy, and Jey Uso will be in a six-man tag against Solo Sikoa’s new Bloodline faction, featuring fresh additions like Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. Think of it as a wrestling family reunion but with fewer hugs and more Samoan Drops. We’ll see which three new Bloodline members get the invite to this smackdown, but rest assured, someone’s getting super-kicked at this gathering.
In the title department, there’s some history on the line as Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER clash for the first-ever WWE Crown Jewel Championship. Yes, folks, it’s a championship to decide who gets… another championship. And in a similar vein, WWE Women’s World Champ Liv Morgan and Women’s Champ Nia Jax will go at it, with the winner snagging the inaugural WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. Because nothing says “first-ever” like slapping “Crown Jewel” on a belt and crossing your fingers.
Meanwhile, LA Knight has his hands full defending the United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes and Andrade. As if Knight’s not busy enough managing catchphrases, he’ll need to watch his back in this triple-threat melee.
And don’t blink, folks, because Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair are throwing down in a multi-team bonanza to defend their Women’s Tag Team Championships. Opponents include Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Kairi Sane), Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, and NXT’s Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend) who’ll make their main roster PLE debut. Will Meta-Four bring the heat or just a little NXT flavor to the chaos?
So buckle up, folks—Crown Jewel promises to deliver more unexpected twists than a daytime soap opera, only with a whole lot more spandex.
