Folks, it’s BIG news—like, bigger than my poll numbers big. AEW’s “Grand Slam” at Arthur Ashe Stadium is about to get HOOKED! That’s right, the man, the myth, the perpetually hungry for victory HOOK will be defending his FTW Championship against none other than Roderick Strong. It’s a match that’s got more tension than a hair-pulling contest at a political rally!

HOOK is fresh off becoming a three-time FTW Champion, taking down Chris Jericho in what can only be described as a bout so fierce it should’ve been broadcast from a steel mill. But now, he’s set his sights on “Grand Slam,” where he’ll face Strong in an FTW Rules match—basically, that means anything goes, except maybe HOOK’s hairstyle, which never seems to change.

This marks the only singles title defense announced so far for the big event. While fans were expecting Bryan Danielson to defend his AEW World Championship against Darby Allin, the drama just won’t stop. Darby’s title shot is now on the line against Jon Moxley (because of course it is), and Danielson, if he even shows up, might face off with an old rival in Nigel McGuinness. Sounds like a political debate gone sideways!

Also on the card, for those keeping score, The Young Bucks will defend their AEW World Tag Team titles against Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher. But let’s be real, folks—HOOK and Strong? That’s where the real action is. This is gonna be huge.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
