Well, folks, the wrestling rumor mill is spinning faster than a Young Bucks superkick party! This time, it’s All Elite Wrestling that’s making waves, and if you thought their media deal couldn’t get any more interesting, think again. The trademarking of “Shockwave” by AEW has people buzzing, and it sounds like the company might be making some serious moves—possibly to a certain network that recently parted ways with WWE SmackDown.

According to a report from Ibou of WrestlePurists, talent inside AEW has been chattering about a brand-new show, AEW Shockwave, and its potential broadcast on FS1. That’s right, Fox Sports 1—the same network that used to host SmackDown when it needed to shuffle off Friday nights. Although nothing’s official, the backstage scuttlebutt suggests this could be a one-hour program, giving AEW yet another platform to dazzle fans.

Ibou clarified that this is purely based on what’s being discussed by talent, not a report directly from AEW or Warner Bros. Discovery. However, with AEW’s current deal with WBD expected to secure Dynamite and Collision, the future of Rampage seems a bit unclear. Will Rampage get the boot? Will Shockwave pick up the slack? It’s all speculation for now.

With WWE officially done with Fox as of last Friday’s SmackDown, FS1 is now a wrestling-free zone, but not for long if these rumors are to be believed. Fox could be in the market for some fresh wrestling content, and AEW Shockwave may just be the answer.

One thing’s for sure—if this deal materializes, it could mark another huge step forward for AEW. With WWE out of the Fox picture, could AEW fill that void and bring in even more eyeballs? We’ll have to wait and see, but it seems the wrestling world is about to get a little more shocking!
