Ladies and gentlemen, the Rainmaker has spoken! Kazuchika Okada retained his AEW Continental Championship in a four-way match at All Out 2024 that had enough drama and near-falls to keep even the laziest Orange Cassidy fans on their toes. And let’s be honest, that’s saying something.

Okada found himself facing off against Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy, Kung Fu Redneck Mark Briscoe, and Human Highlight Reel Konosuke Takeshita, all of whom had earned their spots in Friday’s AEW Collision qualifiers. It was a match so unpredictable, you’d swear the scriptwriters threw out the entire plot just to watch these guys go wild. On a different day, any one of them could have walked away with the gold, but today? Today was Okada’s day.

Early on, Cassidy and Briscoe, having that Conglomeration bond, teamed up like they were tag partners on a buddy cop show—though they paused for a hilarious “lazy strike” moment before getting serious with a stiff forearm exchange. But if you thought this match was all about fun and games, Takeshita was there to remind everyone that this is professional wrestling, not a casual sparring session. The guy was a machine, dismantling opponents left and right, and came dangerously close to walking out with the belt.

In the match’s wild final stretch, Takeshita took out Cassidy with his signature Takeshita Line, leaving everyone gasping as Okada launched him through the ropes like a high-flying missile. With Takeshita out of the way, Okada turned his attention to Briscoe, hitting him with a Rainmaker so fierce it could have knocked the stripes off a referee’s shirt. But just as the Rainmaker was setting up for his win, Cassidy rolled him up for a near-fall so close that Okada probably had a brief existential crisis mid-kickout.

Cassidy, riding the momentum of almost stealing the match, tried to follow up, but Okada’s got that sixth sense. Like a hawk swooping down on its prey, he nailed Cassidy with another Rainmaker to seal the victory. As Okada puffed out his cheeks in signature style, his music hit, and the AEW Continental Champion strolled up the ramp, title in hand, like the wrestling god he is.

But wait—there’s more! Takeshita, still looking dangerous, was joined by Don Callis, who stared down Okada from ringside. If that look was any indication, we might be seeing a Takeshita-Okada feud brewing, and let me tell you, folks, that’s going to be must-see TV.
