Folks, let me tell you something – there are movers, there are shakers, and then there’s Cedric Alexander. In a year where wrestlers are switching companies like they’re trading baseball cards, one man stands tall and says, “Nah, I’m good right here.” That’s right, Cedric Alexander, the former Cruiserweight Champion and current purveyor of backstage wisdom, has decided to renew his WWE contract. Multi-year deal, of course – because why settle for one when you can have many?

Fightful Select dropped the scoop, but they’re being a little hush-hush on the exact details. But knowing Cedric? This contract’s probably packed with perks. Maybe a “no more falling to Kota Ibushi in the second round” clause, or possibly a “must have mandatory hero entrance during every NXT segment” stipulation. Either way, the man’s locked in, and WWE’s roster can sleep easy knowing Cedric won’t be jumping ship to AEW.

Let’s not forget how it all started for Alexander. Back in 2016, during the Cruiserweight Classic, he got a standing ovation and the now-famous “Please Sign Cedric” chants after his epic showdown with Ibushi. Cedric may have lost that match, but let’s be real – sometimes a loss is really just a dramatic entrance.

Fast forward to 2024, and Cedric is back on NXT, doing what any multi-year contract holder would: showing up, showing out, and saving the day. On September 3rd, Je’Von Evans was getting tossed around like yesterday’s laundry by Gallus until Cedric Alexander swooped in, took out Wolfgang and Mark Coffey, and helped Evans pin Joe Coffey. Call it a contract signing bonus, call it Cedric doing Cedric things – the result? Victory.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
