In classic AEW fashion, they’ve decided that eight matches simply weren’t enough for All Out 2024. So, on AEW Rampage, the powers that be added a ninth bout for the Zero Hour pre-show, featuring a chaotic three-way trios match that’s sure to confuse commentators, referees, and maybe even the wrestlers themselves.

The teams? Well, we’ve got a variety pack of talent: Action Andretti and Top Flight, Shane Taylor Promotions and The Beast Mortos (who must have a season pass to All Out now), and Roderick Strong and The Kingdom. These three teams are set to duke it out for what’s being billed as “big money implications.” Translation: a chance to make it rain opportunities for a Trios Championship match down the line. Maybe.

The Beast Mortos, still licking his wounds from getting Takeshita’d earlier on AEW Collision, clearly took the phrase “when one door closes, another opens” to heart. And while Mortos may not be contending for the AEW Continental Championship, at least he’ll have a shot at redemption in this trios match, which is more than can be said for some of the folks left out of this All Out party.

As for the other teams, Action Andretti and Top Flight are all about speed and adrenaline, Shane Taylor Promotions brings the muscle, and Roderick Strong, along with his pals in The Kingdom, will be doing everything in their power to win while continuing their quest to prove they’re more than just Adam Cole’s phone-a-friends.

With the possibility of earning a future Trios Championship opportunity against PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta, this could be a sleeper match on the card—if anyone can figure out who’s legal in the ring at any given moment.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
