Folks, brace yourselves, because next week on WWE NXT, we’re about to witness a tag team match that’ll shake the ropes and probably several egos along the way. The Rascalz—yes, those Rascalz—Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel, former TNA Wrestling Tag Team Champions, are coming in hot to challenge Nathan Frazer and Axiom, a.k.a. Fraxiom (cute, right?), for the NXT Tag Team Championships. And if you thought this was just going to be a friendly competition, well, you clearly don’t watch enough wrestling.

The Rascalz earned this golden opportunity on this week’s episode of NXT by defeating not one, but two teams—Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) and the unlikely duo of Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. Three teams entered with one goal: to earn the right to face Fraxiom for the titles. But after what can only be described as a circus of interferences, distractions, and high-flying chaos, Wentz and Miguel walked away victorious.

The match was like a wrestling buffet—offense from every direction, bodies flying, and more distractions than a toddler in a toy store. At one point, Joe Coffey tried to play hero for his Gallus brethren, but his interference was rudely cut short by Je’von Evans, who blindsided him on the outside. Not to be outdone in the chaos department, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows of The O.C. popped in, presumably because they hadn’t crashed enough parties lately, and threw Hank Walker and Tank Ledger off their game.

Amidst the confusion, Trey Miguel took the high road—literally—and hit Ledger with a meteora from the top rope, before Wentz added the cherry on top with a Swanton Bomb. It was beautiful, it was chaotic, and it earned the Rascalz their ticket to a title shot next week.

This isn’t just another match for Wentz and Miguel. The Rascalz are coming in with momentum and a point to prove, especially after No Mercy. Zachary Wentz, who’s also the TNA X-Division Champion (because one belt just isn’t enough), took care of some personal business at No Mercy by defeating his former best friend and Rascalz stablemate, Wes Lee. So, yeah, he’s got a lot on his plate—tag titles, personal vendettas, and X-Division greatness. Multitasking at its finest.

On the other side of the ring, Fraxiom—fresh off recapturing their titles from Chase U’s Andre Chase and now-former member Ridge Holland—aren’t exactly going to roll over and hand the belts to the Rascalz. Frazer and Axiom may have the friendly superhero vibe going, but when the bell rings, they’re all business. Expect quick tags, faster moves, and probably some flips that defy the laws of gravity. Classic Fraxiom.

Next week’s match is shaping up to be an absolute banger, and with the Rascalz’s history of innovative offense and Fraxiom’s never-ending cardio, expect the ropes to be tested like never before. Buckle up, folks, because this one’s going to be a ride.
