Folks, it’s the question on everyone’s mind: What’s next for Daniel Garcia? After making a surprise return at AEW’s All In pay-per-view, where he stirred the pot by interfering in the MJF vs. Will Ospreay match, all eyes are now on his future with the promotion. But according to reports, Garcia has yet to re-sign with AEW, and his current contract is ticking down, set to expire in October.

Now, here’s where things get interesting—AEW CEO Tony Khan, ever the man of mystery, has chosen to stay mum on the specifics of Garcia’s contract situation. When pressed at the post All In press conference, Khan played it cool, refusing to confirm whether Garcia has inked a new deal. “I don’t want to necessarily comment on everybody’s contract length or status, but Daniel is here and he’s been a great part of AEW,” Khan said, offering just enough to keep us guessing but not enough to satisfy our curiosity.

Khan did, however, wax nostalgic about Garcia’s three-year tenure with AEW, pointing out that the last three years have been good for both the promotion and the young wrestler. From his debut in Daily’s Place to his current role in major storylines, Garcia has certainly made his mark. And while Khan stopped short of revealing if Garcia has re-signed, he did hint that Garcia’s presence at All In was a positive sign.

“It’s been about three years with Daniel here,” Khan reminisced. “He’s somebody beloved by the fans and backstage, and we love having Daniel here. Without saying exactly what’s going on, it’s a good sign that he was here, I think.” A good sign indeed, but as any wrestling fan knows, in this business, things can change in the blink of an eye.

For now, Garcia’s future remains as cloudy as a fog machine in a steel cage match. His return at All In certainly shook things up, especially after his dramatic exit from TV in July following a brutal attack by MJF at AEW Dynamite: Beach Break. Will Garcia stick with AEW, or will he explore new horizons once October rolls around? Only time—and perhaps the next episode of Dynamite—will tell.
