Hold onto your spandex, folks! The wrestling world is about to get a whole lot more dramatic as WWE NXT packs its bags and suplexes its way from USA Network to The CW. After months of anticipation, WWE and The CW have finally dropped a teaser trailer, making it official: NXT is the next big thing, premiering October 1. Cue the pyrotechnics and overly enthusiastic announcer voices!

In a social media post that’s as subtle as a steel chair to the face, The CW exclaimed, “Get hyped! WWE NXT is the next big thing on The CW. See you this fall.” Clearly, subtlety was pinned down for the three-count on this one.

But wait, there’s more! WWE is playing musical chairs with its brands, striking new deals faster than you can say “body slam.” “WWE Raw” will be streaming on Netflix starting January 6, 2025. Yes, you read that right—Netflix, the home of cozy rom-coms and true crime documentaries, will soon feature your favorite muscle-bound soap opera.

Meanwhile, “WWE SmackDown” is moving from FOX to USA Network, proving that even in wrestling, nobody can resist the allure of a network hop. And let’s not forget, “NXT” will soon grace The CW, joining the ranks of teen dramas and superhero shows. One can only imagine the cross-over potential. Riverdale High meets the squared circle, anyone?

In other headlocks and headlines, “NXT” is now the epicenter of WWE’s ongoing bromance with TNA. Stars like Joe Hendry, Jordynne Grace, and The Rascalz are popping up in WWE, while Riley Osborne, Tatum Paxley, and Gallus moonlight in TNA. It’s like an episode of “Wife Swap,” but with more body oil and fewer heartfelt confessions.

Adding to the chaos, Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz is set to challenge for the NXT Tag Team Championship with Wes Lee during next week’s Great American Bash. Spoiler alert: expect a lot of shouting, possibly some pyrotechnics, and definitely a few surprise betrayals.

As if that wasn’t enough to keep track of, “NXT” is gearing up to host three international superstars. Stephanie Vaquer from Mexico’s CMLL, Giulia from Japan, and Delta from Australia will soon be shaking up the roster. If you’re wondering what happens when you mix luchadores, joshi puroresu, and Australian wrestling, you’re about to find out. Spoiler: it involves a lot of dropkicks.

So, wrestling fans, mark your calendars, set your DVRs, and prepare your popcorn. This fall, WWE NXT on The CW is going to be a bodyslam of epic proportions. And if you’re not hyped, just wait for the next overly dramatic trailer—they’ll get you there.
