Wrestling fans, buckle up because Nic Nemeth, the man on a mission, just added another feather to his cap! At Slammiversary, Nemeth emerged victorious from a brutal six-way elimination match to become the new TNA World Champion. Facing off against Moose, Steve Maclin, Joe Hendry, Josh Alexander, and Frankie Kazarian, Nemeth proved that he’s a force to be reckoned with.

But here’s the kicker – Nemeth’s championship win wasn’t always in the cards. According to “Fightful Select,” the original plan was for Josh Alexander to walk out with the gold. Joe Hendry, the rising star from “WWE NXT,” was also a favorite among some, given his growing popularity. However, the decision-makers concluded that the red-hot feud between Hendry and Alexander didn’t need the title to keep fans hooked, paving the way for Nemeth to seize the moment.

Nemeth has been on a remarkable run since his WWE release last September. Not only did he capture the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship in NJPW, but he’s also the current AAA Mega Champion after defeating former WWE Champion Alberto El Patron. His TNA debut in January at the Hard To Kill PPV saw him make a statement by attacking former world champion Moose.

Reflecting on his victory, Nemeth expressed immense gratitude, noting that the intense competition and drama of the six-man match made his win uniquely special. Each competitor was a legitimate contender, making the electric atmosphere of the match a standout moment in Nemeth’s storied career.
