Ladies and gentlemen, the drama unfolded like a high school soap opera at the 2024 “NXT” Great American Bash, where Roxanne Perez successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Thea Hail for the third time. You know what they say, “Third time’s the charm.” Well, not for Hail. Poor girl tried, she really did!

In the main event, Hail had more backup than a malfunctioning traffic light. Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, Ridge Holland, and Riley Osborne—all the Chase U heavy hitters—were in her corner, ready to cheer her on. But guess what? Perez, cool as a cucumber, was unfazed. It was like watching someone try to storm a castle with a butter knife.

The match’s climax was like a scene from a wrestling melodrama. Hail was trapped in Perez’s crossface submission, inching toward the ropes like a determined toddler. But Perez, channeling her inner villain, dragged Hail back to the center of the mat and delivered a Pop Rox that had the crowd roaring. Sixth successful title defense in her second reign! Talk about a prodigy, folks.

Perez’s reign of terror—I mean, championship run—began at the 2024 “NXT” Stand & Deliver premium live event with a win over Lyra Valkyria. Since then, she’s taken down everyone from Lola Vice and Tatum Paxley to TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace, and even main roster stars like Chelsea Green and Natalya. This girl’s got a hit list longer than a CVS receipt.

Meanwhile, over in tag team land, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, also known as Unholy Union, kept their titles firmly in hand. They defeated Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend of the Meta-Four faction. Because why settle for a regular union when you can have an unholy one?
