Hold onto your championship belts, wrestling fans! NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez successfully defended her title against Thea Hail at the Great American Bash. But the real fireworks happened after the show when Perez delivered a post-show promo hotter than a superkick to the face!
In a clip posted to WWE’s X account, Perez didn’t hold back. “Realistically, everybody needs to stop worrying about everybody else around the world,” Perez declared. “Not a Thea, not a Giulia, not a Stephanie. NXT is the best women’s division in the world, and this is on my shoulder, which means I am the best woman in the world. That’s it. Good night.”
Boom! Perez was taking aim at recent WWE recruits Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer, who are making waves in the wrestling world. Vaquer has already shown what she’s made of in WWE’s recent live events in Mexico, and Giulia, after some backstage glimpses and a recent Marigold World Championship match loss, is gearing up for her NXT debut.
Perez’s promo wasn’t her first jab at the new recruits. On the July 16 episode of “WWE NXT,” she name-checked both women, hinting that she’s ready for whatever they bring. The NXT Women’s Championship belt might as well be a crown, and Perez is wearing it with a queen’s confidence, ready to defend her throne against all challengers.
