Last night on “WWE Raw,” the rivalry between Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn and the up-and-coming powerhouse Bron Breakker escalated to new heights. Breakker closed out the show with a bone-crushing attack on Zayn, leaving fans and wrestlers buzzing. After the carnage, Breakker hit the locker room for an interview with Cathy Kelley, where he lobbed a college football analogy straight at Zayn’s noggin.

“The torch needs to be passed, brother,” Breakker barked. “You’re like Kirby Smart—lucky once, but you’re looking at the Nick Saban of this ring, and I don’t lose twice.”

For those who missed out on ESPN, Smart and Saban are big-name college football coaches. Saban’s Alabama dynasty ran from 2007 to 2023, while Smart was his sidekick before leading Georgia to topple Alabama in the 2021 Championship. That was Smart’s one hit wonder against Saban’s four crushing victories.

Breakker, or Bronson Rechsteiner if you prefer the legal name, has football in his veins. The Kennesaw State alum had a brief stint with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020. Post-football, Breakker switched gears to pro wrestling, and let’s just say, the guy tackles this career with as much force as a linebacker.

Earlier in the night, Breakker bulldozed through Ilja Dragunov to claim his spot as the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship. With SummerSlam on the horizon, he’s eager to even the score from their previous clash at Money in the Bank, where Zayn narrowly escaped with his title. Breakker’s game plan? Make sure Zayn’s luck runs out faster than a two-minute drill.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
