In the July 15 episode of “WWE Raw,” the ongoing saga between Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, and Rhea Ripley took a wild turn with the unexpected addition of Jey Uso. Early in the night, Uso approached Judgment Day’s Damien Priest and Mysterio, curiously inquiring about Ripley’s relationship status. The kayfabe friction between Ripley and Mysterio continues to make headlines, and Uso’s interest only added fuel to the fire.
After his victory over Mysterio, Uso was caught on camera in an exclusive WWE YouTube segment with Jackie Redmond. With his signature charm, Uso offered Ripley a shoulder to cry on, suggesting a slow courtship and, interestingly, an invitation to a Waffle House.
“You probably ain’t never been in a Waffle House,” Uso quipped. “But like, you need to come this way, Rhea, you know what I’m saying? It’s a little cheap, but it’s good.” He then joked about Ripley’s likely preference for ten egg whites with chicken before sharing his own typical order: triple hash browns and double waffles.
Waffle House has long been a favorite among wrestlers, thanks to their irregular schedules and the restaurant chain’s 24/7 availability. The official Waffle House X account has even playfully engaged with WWE over the design of the now-defunct WWE 24/7 Title, highlighting their connection to the wrestling community.
Whether Jey Uso will play a more significant role in the ongoing Mysterio/Ripley/Morgan storyline remains to be seen. Ripley is set to challenge Liv Morgan at SummerSlam 2024 on August 3rd for the WWE Women’s World Championship, a title she had to relinquish due to an arm injury.
