Hold onto your cowboy hats, wrestling fans, because AEW is gearing up for a Texas-sized showdown in 2025! Over the past year, AEW has been on a mission to hold bigger shows in grander venues, and it seems their ambition knows no bounds. Following the massive success of AEW All In at London’s Wembley Stadium, set to return this August, the promotion has been eyeing other major arenas, such as Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York and the Tacoma Dome for October’s AEW WrestleDream.
But that’s just the beginning. According to Fightful Select, AEW is planning to bring a “major scale event” to the Dallas/Arlington, Texas area next year. Insiders suggest this could be a stadium show on par with AEW’s biggest events, hinting at a spectacle comparable to All In. While no official announcement has been made and sources within AEW remain tight-lipped, speculation is rife that the event could be confirmed by the end of the year if everything falls into place.
This exciting news comes as AEW prepares to kick off a promising partnership with Arlington, Texas. The collaboration includes a residency for “AEW Collision” and Ring of Honor at Arlington’s Esports Stadium, starting this Saturday and running through August 17. This residency will feature ROH TV tapings and the Death Before Dishonor PPV on July 26, though it’s unclear if this residency is connected to AEW’s potential 2025 plans.
Should AEW go ahead with a stadium show in the Dallas/Arlington area, they have some colossal options. The AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys and host to WrestleMania’s 32 and 38, can accommodate over 100,000 fans. Other potential venues include the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field and FC Dallas’ Toyota Stadium.
