Folks, big news! Big, tremendous news! Rachael Ellering, the wrestling world’s dynamo, has been doing the rounds in Ring of Honor (ROH) like a champ. She wrestled Skye Blue on May 16’s episode of “ROH on HonorClub,” leaving fans buzzing. Now, after a lot of speculation and guesswork, we have the scoop on her status with ROH and its high-flying sister company, All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Drumroll, please! According to our friends at Fightful Select, Ellering signed on the dotted line with AEW and ROH “quite some time” ago. That’s right, folks, she’s been in the club for a while, even though she never got the flashy “All Elite” graphic. Not everyone needs the neon lights to shine bright, am I right?
Ellering came back to ROH in June 2023, bravely taking on NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale. Although she didn’t snag the win, she found herself in some intriguing company. She teamed up with Leyla Hirsch and Maria Kanellis, delivering a one-two punch against The Renegades and the dynamic duo of Brittany Jade and Emily Hale. While Ellering and Kanellis have since parted ways, the powerhouse team of Ellering and Hirsch recently squared off against Queen Aminata and Red Velvet in a dark match, just to warm up the crowd on May 30.
But wait, there’s more! Ellering isn’t just hanging out in ROH. She’s got her sights set on AEW. On July 12, she made her big-time national TV debut on “AEW Rampage,” taking on the formidable former AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa. Sure, Rosa took home the win, but the real drama unfolded post-match. Deonna Purrazzo ambushed both Rosa and Ellering, sparking a new alliance. That’s right, Ellering vowed to have Rosa’s back, like a true comrade-in-arms.
Will this new tag-team sensation rock the AEW world? Will Ellering and Rosa become the dynamic duo we didn’t know we needed? Stay tuned, wrestling aficionados, because this story is just getting started!
