The June 19 edition of “AEW Dynamite” may have drawn its lowest rating ever with just over 500,000 viewers, but don’t worry, folks, Tony Khan’s got this. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the June 26 episode soared to a dizzying 680,000 viewers. Still a smidge below AEW’s typical ratings, but hey, we’re all about the small victories, right?

AEW President Tony Khan is putting on his best game face, assuring everyone that the promotion is doing just fine in the TV world. “We’ve had historically really strong numbers and maintain really strong numbers in TV, and that is the thing we need to do – keep doing what we’re doing because the numbers we have are numbers people in TV would kill to have,” Khan proudly told “Wrestling Observer Radio.”

Yes, folks, while Khan has been known to throw a few jabs at WWE’s “Raw” viewership during their off days, he’s now decided to play nice and focus on AEW. After all, when the competition is raking in those impressive media rights deals, it’s nothing but sunshine and rainbows for AEW too!

“I really need to focus on doing good shows for AEW, not about what the competition is doing. I think that in this case, our competition going out ahead of us and getting good media rights deals was a positive for us and actually is good for us because we have very good historical comps, and these comps are very favorable for us,” Khan explained, exuding confidence.

But hold on to your wrestling boots – not everyone’s feeling the love. AEW superstar Will Ospreay chimed in, calling the current situation “growing pains” but remaining hopeful for a bounce-back.

So there you have it, folks. Khan’s steering the ship with optimism, ratings hiccups be damned. Stay tuned for more twists and turns in the wild world of professional wrestling!
