The wrestling world was buzzing on Friday night as the iconic ECW Arena in Philadelphia became the stage for a surprising crossover event. A trio of “WWE NXT” stars decided to walk through the forbidden door and make a splash at TNA tapings, following the bold footsteps of Tatum Paxley.

The History Lesson

This unique partnership between “NXT” and TNA dates back to the 2024 Royal Rumble. The buzz started when TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace made a sensational entry into the women’s Royal Rumble match, leaving the WWE Universe craving more. Grace didn’t disappoint, making multiple appearances on “NXT” and answering Roxanne Perez’s open challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship. Despite her fierce attempts, she fell short at “NXT” Battleground. Not one to back down, Grace turned the tables with an open challenge of her own at TNA’s Against All Odds, where “NXT’s” Tatum Paxley seized the moment.

Friday Night Fireworks

The energy was palpable on Friday as Grace issued yet another open challenge. Fan videos captured the electrifying moment when “NXT’s” Izzi Dame stepped up to the plate, ready to make her mark. But the surprises didn’t stop there. Charlie Dempsey, ever the unpredictable force, made his presence felt by knocking Leon Slater off the top rope and taking out several wrestlers along with the referee. It seems Dempsey is collecting promotions like infinity stones, having already faced Katsuhiko Nakajima for the AJPW Triple Crown Championship in January and competing at GCW’s Bloodsport X against Matt Makowski in April. Later in the night, Dempsey’s stablemate from the No Quarter Catch Crew, Myles Borne, also decided to join the TNA festivities.

What’s Next?

The TNA tapings featuring these three “NXT” stars will begin to air on Thursday, July 4. It’s clear the wrestling landscape is shifting, with TNA stars like Frankie Kazarian and Joe Hendry also making waves on recent “NXT” programming. The lines are blurring, and the excitement is building as fans eagerly anticipate the fallout from these unprecedented crossovers.
