As the calendar flipped to June 29, Dijak officially stepped into his new chapter as a former WWE star. Announced on June 27, the “WWE Raw” call-up would not be renewing his contract, making June 28 his final day under WWE’s banner. Now a free agent, Dijak is wasting no time jumping back into the wrestling world, and his first independent appearance has already been unveiled.
Reverting to his former name, Donovan Dijak, the powerhouse will return to the indie scene for the Roseland 9 event in Portland, Oregon on September 29. This exciting show is a collaboration between Prestige Wrestling, West Coast Pro, and Deadlock Pro Wrestling, part of a strategic partnership aimed at delivering top-tier independent wrestling to fans. The three companies will kick off their alliance on July 20 with the Untouchable event, featuring stars like former WWE’s Shelton Benjamin, NJPW’s Robbie Eagles, and ex-AEW performer Alan Angels.
Free from the shackles of a 90-day non-compete clause, Dijak is at liberty to appear and negotiate with anyone, anywhere. While Roseland 9 is the first officially announced date for the former T-Bar, it may not be his initial stop in the indie circuit. Dijak has expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support during this transitional period, and with this latest announcement, it’s clear that Donovan Dijak is ready to set the wrestling world ablaze.
