Ladies and gentlemen, hold onto your wrestling boots because Saturday’s edition of “AEW Collision” brought us a main event for the ages! AEW International Champion Will Ospreay squared off against the powerhouse Brian Cage, and it was a nail-biter right to the finish.

The Battle of Titans

With just eight days until his AEW World Championship match against Swerve Strickland, Ospreay didn’t get to rest on his laurels. Instead, he put his International Title on the line against “The Machine” Brian Cage. For thirty grueling minutes, these two titans went head-to-head in a match that felt more like a superhero showdown than a wrestling bout.

Counter for Counter

Cage, known for his brute strength, countered Ospreay’s high-flying antics with sheer power. Ospreay, ever the cunning strategist, attempted multiple Os-Cutters and Hidden Blades, only to be thwarted time and again by Cage’s resilience and stamina. Both men threw everything they had at each other, but it was Ospreay’s quick thinking and agility that kept him in the game.

The Climactic Finish

In the match’s waning moments, with both men running on fumes, Ospreay pulled out the big guns. A Poisonrana followed by an Os-Cutter left Cage reeling, but not down. It was only after one final, devastating Hidden Blade that Ospreay managed to keep Cage down for the three-count, retaining his AEW International Title.

Looking Ahead

But there’s no rest for the wicked — or the champions, it seems. Ospreay is already gearing up for another battle, this time teaming with Swerve Strickland to face the Gates of Agony on “AEW Dynamite.” Then, it’s the big one: Ospreay vs. Strickland for the AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door in Long Island. After such a demanding match against Cage, will Ospreay have the stamina to take on Strickland? Only time will tell.
