In a plot twist worthy of a soap opera, Ring of Honor Women’s Champion Athena dropped a bombshell update on her injury status during tonight’s episode of “ROH on HonorClub.” After reports last month hinted at Athena’s injury during a taping in Portland, Oregon, the “forever” champ revealed the gritty details: torn ankle ligaments. Doctors predict she’ll be out for four to six months, hobbling around with an ankle boot and crutches. But don’t count her out yet!

Athena declared that the ROH Women’s Championship would remain firmly in her grip—no vacating here, folks. “I’ve put this division on my back,” she proclaimed, sounding like a valiant knight in a wrestling epic. “It means the world to me and every woman in the back performing for you. This is not how my championship reign ends.”

Cue the drama! Queen Aminata and Red Velvet stormed the stage, accusing Athena of faking her injury. Talk about adding salt to the wound! They claimed Athena and her M.I.T. cohorts (Lexy Nair and Billie Starkz) were just scared of real competition. The tension boiled over when Billie Starkz, ever the hothead, shoved Velvet, triggering a classic wrestling domino effect: Aminata retaliated, and poor injured Athena got caught in the crossfire, toppling over like a fallen warrior.
