With Money in the Bank just three weeks away, the competition is heating up as WWE Superstars vie for their spots in the coveted ladder matches. After a night of thrilling triple threat qualifiers on WWE Raw, both IYO SKY and Jey Uso emerged victorious, securing their places in the 2024 Money in the Bank ladder matches.
IYO SKY Takes Flight
The women’s ladder match qualifier kicked off the night’s high-stakes action. IYO SKY faced off against Zelina Vega and NXT newcomer Kiana James in a fierce battle. Vega nearly clinched the win, but an unexpected distraction from WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, sporting a cowboy-themed vest reminiscent of Dominik Mysterio’s style, threw her off her game. James took advantage, knocking Vega out of the ring, but it was SKY who soared to victory with a flawless Over the Moonsault on James. SKY is now set for Toronto’s Women’s Money in the Bank match, aiming to repeat her success from last year when she cashed in on Bianca Belair at SummerSlam.
Jey Uso Climbs to Victory
In the men’s qualifier, Jey Uso squared off against Rey Mysterio and Finn Balor in a high-octane contest filled with rapid moves and aerial assaults. Mysterio came close to victory with his signature 619s, but interference from Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day derailed his hopes. Balor seemed poised to win after delivering a Coup de Grace to Mysterio, but Uso seized the moment, hitting Balor with an Uso Splash to secure the pin and his place in the Money in the Bank ladder match.
The Road to Money In The Bank
The upcoming Money in the Bank ladder matches will feature six participants each, split evenly between Raw and SmackDown. Next week’s Raw will see more qualifying matches, with Kairi Sane, Shayna Baszler, and Lyra Valkyria competing for a spot in the women’s match, while Braun Strowman, Chad Gable, and Bronson Reed battle for a place in the men’s match.
