Folks, grab your popcorn and your favorite folding chair, because we’ve got some hot wrestling news fresh off the press! Megan Bayne, the 26-year-old powerhouse who’s been setting Japan’s STARDOM roster on fire, is reportedly no longer under contract with AEW. That’s right, she’s a free agent, which means she could show up anywhere, from the local bingo hall to the main event at WrestleMania.

According to the wrestling sleuths at “Fightful Select,” there had been plans for Bayne to make a triumphant return to AEW programming after wrapping up her duties in Japan this January. But in a twist more surprising than my last election win, it appears she’s now a free agent, free to strut her stuff wherever she pleases.

Don’t count AEW out just yet, though. Word on the street is that Tony Khan and his creative wizards have been pitching ideas left and right to bring Bayne back into the fold. Whether she ends up a full-time member of the AEW roster or just pops in sporadically, like a certain someone’s Twitter rants, remains to be seen.

For those keeping score at home, Bayne had a handful of matches in AEW between 2021 and 2023, with four of them airing on “AEW Dark.” Her last appearance was in a dark segment post-“AEW Rampage” taping on June 9, 2023, where she teamed up with Emi Sakura in a losing effort against Willow Nightingale and Maki Itoh. A tough break, but hey, even the best have off nights.

She’s tangled with former AEW Women’s World Champions like Thunder Rosa and Nyla Rose, proving she can hang with the best of them. But will she become “All Elite” again anytime soon? That, my friends, is the million-dollar question.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
