2024 is Swerve Strickland’s year, folks! The AEW champ, who snatched the AEW World Championship in April, is stepping out of the ring and into the spotlight of a new documentary. And guess what? He’s not going it alone! He’s teaming up with his rap buddy Fresh Garments and a couple of Hollywood hotshots.

Here’s the scoop: The Lucas Brothers (no, not the guys who invented light sabers – that’s George Lucas) – Kenny and Keith, the comedy duo who co-wrote and co-produced “Judas and the Black Messiah,” are hopping on board this documentary train along with filmmaker Mookie Thompson. These guys are ready to turn the Swerve and Flash show into a cinematic masterpiece!

This untitled documentary will chronicle Strickland and Garments’ bromance, starting from Strickland’s dramatic WWE exit in 2021 and Garments’ Kanye West split (who wouldn’t split from that guy?), leading up to their work on Strickland’s AEW theme song. That theme song didn’t just play; it slayed, paving Strickland’s road to wrestling gold. But hold onto your belts, folks – no release date just yet. The suspense!

Strickland spilled the beans: “Flash Garments and I were introduced at very interesting times in our lives. We knew we were meant to make history together by blending hip-hop and pro wrestling like never before. The Lucas brothers captured it perfectly.”

The Lucas Brothers added: “As lifelong fans of hip-hop and wrestling, we were instantly hooked on Swerve and Flash’s groundbreaking work in AEW. In a world where media often paints black men in conflict, their partnership is a shining example of the magic that happens when African American men unite. Their story deserves to be told.”
