That’s right, Blood & Guts is returning for its fourth consecutive year, and it’s heading to the heart of honky-tonk, the land of cowboy boots and country tunes: Nashville, Tennessee! Mark your calendars for July 24 and get ready for a night where the only thing thicker than the Southern accent will be the layers of blood on the canvas.
AEW made this glorious announcement during last night’s “AEW Dynamite,” and let me tell you, the internet (or should I say, “X”) is buzzing! Bridgestone Arena will be the battlefield for this year’s Blood & Guts match, featuring none other than The Elite, which includes the Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry. This ragtag group of high-flyers and hard-hitters initially extended an olive branch (or perhaps a steel chair) to Swerve Strickland. However, the AEW World Champion decided he’d rather be on the opposing team, adding an extra layer of drama to this already intense showdown.
Now, the big question on everyone’s mind is who will be joining Strickland in this blood-soaked melee? Unfortunately, Dax Harwood of FTR won’t be stepping into the ring due to a painful injury that has him sidelined indefinitely. And Bryan Danielson? Well, he’s got his eyes on the 2024 Owen Hart Cup, which might just keep him too busy to get his hands dirty in Blood & Guts.
This special episode of “Dynamite” has seen a few different homes over the past three years: Jacksonville, Florida, Detroit, Michigan, and Boston, Massachusetts. But this year, Nashville will host the chaos, bringing a whole new meaning to “Music City Madness.”
