Ricochet has taken flight one last time in WWE, and this landing was anything but smooth.

Over the weekend, it was revealed that Ricochet would not be renewing his WWE contract, set to expire this summer. Fans were bracing for his departure, but the way it went down on this week’s “WWE Raw” left everyone stunned. In a scene worthy of an action movie, Bron Breakker presumably ended Ricochet’s WWE career (at least for now) by powerslamming him into a car windshield during a backstage attack.

Despite the drama, Ricochet didn’t get a final match on “Raw.” Instead, his friend Ilja Dragunov faced off against Breakker. Before the match, Ricochet and Dragunov shared a heartfelt moment backstage, likely their last as colleagues. After Breakker defeated Dragunov, chaos ensued. Breakker aimed to spear “The Mad Dragon” through the barricade, but Ricochet, in a heroic leap, intercepted him, momentarily turning the tide.

But the real carnage was just beginning. In the parking lot, an enraged Breakker attacked Dragunov again. Ricochet tried to save his friend but ended up thrown into a WWE truck, beaten against a car, and finally powerslammed into a windshield. The impact was so intense that “REAL GLASS” briefly trended on X (formerly known as Twitter).

A distraught Samantha Irvin watched in horror as her fiancé was dismantled, later joining him as he was loaded into an ambulance, with Pat McAfee temporarily taking over her ring announcing duties. Ricochet, ever the warrior, gave a thumbs up while being lifted into the ambulance, with Dragunov looking on, visibly shaken. The final shot of the inaugural WWE Speed Champion was the soles of his shoes as the ambulance doors closed.

With Ricochet’s WWE chapter seemingly closed, speculation is rife that he might soon be All Elite. Stay tuned, wrestling fans, because this high-flyer’s journey is far from over.
