Vice, who boasts a professional Bellator record of 4-1, secured the win after delivering a devastating Spinning Backfist followed by a barrage of Hammerfists. Baszler, hindered by a compromised knee from early in the match, couldn’t withstand Vice’s relentless assault. This match marked a homecoming for “The Queen of Spades,” who previously competed on “The Ultimate Fighter” as part of Team Rousey and wrapped up her MMA career with a 15-11 record.
Though the Octagon was swapped for the ropeless squared circle, the match was a true homage to MMA. Both competitors entered in traditional gis and wore fingerless gloves, showcasing textbook standup, shoot wrestling takedowns, and an authentic referee stoppage.
