Ladies and gentlemen, hold onto your spandex! WWE might soon have to wave goodbye to one of their top-tier human trampolines. According to Pro Wrestling Insider, Ricochet—our beloved former Intercontinental and United States Champion—has decided to take his talents elsewhere once his five-year contract expires this summer. Yes, folks, Ricochet has told WWE, “Thanks for the memories, but I’m flipping out of here!”

Insiders say the company is scrambling to write him out of their storylines faster than you can say “superkick.” Fans at the “WWE SmackDown” live event in Louisville got a sneak peek of this exit strategy. Ricochet lost his “WWE Speed” Championship to Andrade in a match taped before the June 7 episode. A foreshadowing, perhaps?

Our high-flying hero has been bouncing around various angles lately, losing to Bron Breakker on “WWE Raw” and getting defeated by Ilja Dragunov in the first round of the 2024 King of the Ring Tournament. Talk about a rough patch!

PWI cited a source who gave Ricochet “all the credit in the world for betting on himself.” And why not? At 35, Ricochet is still young and spry, ready to make a splash on the free agent market. AEW might just be his next stop. After all, Ricochet’s old rival, current AEW International Champion Will Ospreay, recently grumbled about WWE wasting Ricochet’s talents. Sounds like an open invitation to us!
