Folks, it looks like Gigi Dolin’s in-ring antics have hit a rough patch, and it’s not just because of an unruly opponent. The “WWE NXT” star is grappling with a serious knee injury, which has put her wrestling career on a temporary hold. Dolin’s last bout was against Arianna Grace on March 12, where she earned herself a disqualification loss. The pair had since been awkwardly teaming up, possibly the oddest couple since peanut butter and pickles.

However, in May, this storyline was abruptly tossed out like yesterday’s gym socks, leaving Grace to move on solo. The reason? According to Fightful Select, Dolin’s knee injury is to blame. Despite being sidelined, she remains with WWE, recuperating and plotting her next move.

Before her injury, Dolin was on the fast track to the main roster, making appearances on “WWE Main Event” and “WWE SmackDown.” Recently, she’s been conspicuously absent from several “NXT” tapings, filming most of her segments with Grace outside the WWE Performance Center. It was WWE’s clever ploy to keep her on screen while she healed.

Dolin burst onto the “NXT” scene with Mandy Rose and Jacy Jayne as part of Toxic Attraction, a trio hell-bent on collecting championship gold. Rose dominated as the NXT Women’s Champion while Dolin and Jayne snagged the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. But the Toxic Attraction days fizzled out after Rose’s sudden departure in December 2022. The duo then split up, culminating in a brutal Weaponized Steel Cage Match last May. Jayne herself just returned after recovering from a broken nose sustained in a match against Thea Hail at Spring Breakin’.
