Hold onto your spandex, wrestling fans! The wrestling world is buzzing with the news that WWE Superstar Ricochet is considering a grand exit stage left when his contract runs out. Known for his gravity-defying stunts and an arsenal of high-flying moves, Ricochet has left audiences around the globe picking their jaws off the floor. Now, AEW fans are doing backflips (probably not as well as Ricochet, though) at the prospect of him joining Tony Khan’s high-octane circus.

But wait, here comes the plot twist! AEW’s World Champion, Swerve Strickland, is not about to let anyone steal his spotlight. Declaring that AEW is firmly “Swerve’s House,” Strickland took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to issue a stern warning to Ricochet and any other would-be defectors. In a move that would make any wrestling promoter proud, Strickland promised a showdown of epic proportions if Ricochet steps into the All Elite ring.

Swerve’s tweet read: “Ricochet, you think you can just waltz into my house? Get ready for hell, because Swerve’s House isn’t for the faint-hearted! #AEW #WrestlingWar”

And, as if that wasn’t enough, he doubled down with a follow-up message: “This isn’t a game. It’s war. And anyone thinking of joining AEW better be ready to face me. #BringItOn”

Ah, the history between these two! Strickland and Ricochet go way back, tracing their rivalry to the independent circuit in the 2010s. They first locked horns in promotions like XWA and CZW, and later under the Lucha Underground banner as Killshot and Prince Puma. Their paths converged again in 2017 at Sami Callihan’s Wrestling REVOLVER and Major League Wrestling, delivering a pair of unforgettable matches, each snagging a victory. A potential AEW clash would serve as the rubber match fans have been dreaming of—seven years in the making!
