The rise of Trick Williams in “WWE NXT” has been one of the most exciting developments of the past year, culminating in his WWE NXT Championship victory in April. Adding a fresh twist to his journey, rapper Sexyy Red has joined the Williams craze, with fans chanting lyrics from her hit song “Shake Yo Dreads.” This week, the anticipation peaked as Red made her debut appearance on “NXT,” along with the announcement that she’ll be hosting NXT Battleground next month.

According to Fightful Select, Red’s involvement with “NXT” is set to extend beyond Battleground. The report suggests her presence will be akin to that of singer Poppy, who made multiple appearances on the brand and released new music in sync with WWE events. Behind the scenes, Red was praised for being easy to work with, and Tuesday’s episode was even dubbed “Sexyy Red Is NXT” internally.

Red kicked off this week’s “NXT” by unveiling the new Women’s North American Championship alongside Ava. The first winner of this title will be determined in a ladder match at Battleground. There was a tense moment when it seemed Tatum Paxley might attack Red, but Michin intervened to defend the rapper, adding to the excitement.

Later in the show, Red returned to the spotlight, accompanying Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans in their main event match against Gallus. Proving she’s more than just a guest star, Red got involved by preventing Joe Coffey from using the NXT Championship as a weapon, aiding Williams and Evans in securing the win. With such a strong connection to the “NXT” fans, it’s likely that the partnership between Red and Williams will continue to flourish as she makes more appearances within WWE.
