Hold onto your title belts, folks! Friday night’s “WWE SmackDown” turned into a courtroom drama, complete with legalese, ripped contracts, and a bit of brawling, as Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul clarified the stakes for their upcoming showdown in Saudi Arabia. The confusion surrounding their King and Queen of the Ring main event match has finally been put to rest.

Contract Chaos: Rhodes vs. Paul

The night kicked off with a contract signing ceremony that was anything but ordinary. United States Champion Logan Paul, flanked by his litigator and a motley crew of lackeys, faced off with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and WWE official Nick Aldis. Rhodes began with a heartfelt monologue about his dream to become a Grand Slam champion by capturing Paul’s United States Championship. But Paul, ever the showman, had other plans.

In a dramatic twist, Paul tore up Aldis’ contract, proclaiming he never agreed to put his US title on the line. Enter Paul’s litigator with a new contract, stipulating that the match would solely be for Rhodes’ WWE title. Rhodes, clearly displeased, but not one to back down, signed the new contract after a heated exchange.

Brawling and Berating: The Aftermath

Not content with just words, Paul attempted to ambush Rhodes immediately after the contract signing. But Rhodes, always ready for a fight, countered by tossing Paul out of the ring and taking down one of his lackeys. Paul, retreating up the ramp, declared that Rhodes had signed “a death wish.”

With the stakes clarified, it’s official: Paul and Rhodes will battle for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia on May 25. This marks Rhodes’ second title defense since dethroning Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, having already bested AJ Styles at WWE Backlash in France.
