Folks, get ready for a comeback story that’ll have you cheering louder than a crowd at a wrestling match! WWE NXT star Eddy Thorpe has been conspicuously absent from our screens for over five months, but according to the latest backstage buzz, that’s about to change. Corey Brennan of Fightful Select reports that Thorpe is poised for an imminent return, with sources close to NXT’s creative process confirming the news.

Thorpe has been battling a hip injury he sustained in his most recent match on “NXT” back in December. Despite this setback, he received the green light to return to in-ring action sometime between late February and early March. But the hip injury wasn’t Thorpe’s only hurdle; he also sustained another, unspecified injury in October. Despite these challenges, Thorpe worked through the pain, even participating in the “NXT” Deadline Premium Live Event on December 9, where he cost Dijak the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge.

Thorpe’s last televised match before his hiatus was against Dijak in “NXT” Underground on December 13. Following this bout, he was out of action entirely for three months. However, he has since returned to the ring, participating in a few matches on “NXT” Level Up and live shows, starting from the March 22 episode of Level Up.

Thorpe initially signed with WWE in January 2023 and made his televised debut on “NXT” on March 28, 2023, where he defeated No Quarter Catch Crew member Myles Borne. Known for his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling under the ring name Karl Fredricks, Thorpe has been a rising star in the wrestling world since he began his career in 2015.

So, NXT fans, mark your calendars and get ready to welcome back Eddy Thorpe. His resilience and determination promise to bring some electrifying action back to the ring!

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
