Folks, in the world of wrestling, injuries can happen faster than a plot twist in a soap opera, and it looks like one-half of The Renegades tag team, Charlette Renegade, is dealing with such a twist. The 24-year-old AEW and ROH star hasn’t wrestled in 2024, and “Fightful Select” reports that concussion issues are the culprit behind her absence.

Charlette’s twin sister, Robyn Renegade, has been holding down the fort, wrestling as a singles star in both AEW and ROH. Robyn has stepped up to the challenge, even earning a shot at the AEW TBS Championship on “AEW Rampage” in March, though she was ultimately defeated by then-champion Julia Hart. She also faced Thunder Rosa on “AEW Collision,” giving a valiant effort against the former AEW Women’s World Champion.

The Renegades, who previously held the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championships, have been a dynamic duo on the ROH roster since March 2023, following their appearances on “AEW Dark.” While Charlette is working towards recovery and getting cleared to return to the ring, her return date remains uncertain.

Concussions have sidelined several AEW stars recently. ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta hasn’t wrestled since January due to concussion symptoms. Jeff Hardy is also on the mend after a concussion suffered in a match with Sammy Guevara, which led to Guevara’s suspension. FTR’s Dax Harwood experienced a concussion during a brutal tag team match against The Young Bucks at AEW Dynasty, though he has since returned to action.

As Charlette Renegade continues her recovery journey, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of The Renegades in full force. Here’s to a speedy and healthy recovery for Charlette, and to seeing her back in the ring soon!
