In a plot twist worthy of a season finale, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and the streaming platform ViX, owned by TelevisaUnivision, have called it quits! Just when fans were settling into the multi-year deal announced in 2023, the Wrestling Observer dropped a bombshell: AEW is no longer streaming on ViX. Cue the dramatic music!

But wait, there’s more. ViX quietly posted on their website that AEW events are getting the cold shoulder from their platform, effective immediately. Talk about ghosting! They left fans hanging, too, with no word on whether past episodes or pay-per-views can still be binged by heartbroken subscribers. The digital breakup note wasn’t even dated, but some internet sleuthing revealed the page’s HTML was last updated on March 13—so that’s when the love died.

AEW had been reaching fans in Latin America and the Caribbean through ViX’s premium tier, broadcasting episodes of “AEW Dynamite,” “AEW Rampage,” and “AEW Collision” in real-time with the American airing. Not to mention, pay-per-views were also showcased, albeit on a modest 30-day delay. Even “AEW Dark” and its elevation had a cozy spot in the archives with a Spanish commentary track. Now, it’s all up in the air.

Meanwhile, back in the U.S., fans are practically wrestling each other for more AEW content on a streaming service. At the post-Dynasty press conference, AEW President Tony Khan teased that a “very lucrative deal” is on the horizon. He hinted that the vast libraries of AEW and Ring of Honor might find a new home on a service like HBO Max, giving fans a reason to keep their streaming subscriptions warm.

As for where AEW will land in the U.S. for 2025? That’s still in the negotiation ring with Warner Bros/Discovery, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. Will it be a knockout deal, or will AEW have to tap out? Stay tuned, because in the world of wrestling, anything can happen—both inside and outside the ring!
