Wrestling fans, gather ’round because Big E, the ever-smiling “Powerhouse of Positivity,” has some news about his neck, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Two years ago, on a fateful night on “WWE SmackDown,” Big E took a belly-to-belly suplex that didn’t quite go as planned, leaving him with a broken neck. It was one of those moments that had us all holding our breaths.

Now, two years down the line, Big E has trotted out an update that’s got us all tipping our hats to his unbreakable spirit. After his latest neck scan, it turns out that while his C1 vertebra has healed—albeit fibrously without forming new bone—he’s still on the bench when it comes to getting back in the ring. Medically, he’s not cleared for wrestling, and he dropped a heartbreaker: he might never be.

But don’t start the pity party just yet. Big E’s got a different kind of message: “Hey, all! Two-year neck scans are in. Things are unchanged… I’m not medically cleared and truthfully, I may never be cleared. But I am blessed to be free of pain, immensely happy, and otherwise healthy. Life is good,” he shared on X.

It’s classic Big E—finding that silver lining. Despite the rough ride, he’s living pain-free, happy, and healthy, which, if you ask him, is a win in the big match of life.

2022 might have kicked off with him as WWE Champion, but it threw more curveballs than a major league pitcher. From a COVID shakeup at the Day 1 event, which saw Roman Reigns sidelined and Brock Lesnar snagging the title in a last-minute mashup, to his injury, it was a rollercoaster year for Big E.

Yet, here he is, still the beacon of positivity we all admire. As for what’s next for this powerhouse? Whether or not he returns to the ring, one thing’s clear: Big E’s championship spirit isn’t going anywhere.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
